How does the referral program work?

When exactly do I get my reward?

Can I refer myself or be referred twice?
No to both. Self-referrals are blocked, and a person can only ever be referred once — whoever got there first. Rewards are also granted exactly once per referral no matter how many times the underlying payment event is retried.
Do the rewards ever change?
The amounts are program settings and can be adjusted, so the Referrals screen in your account is always the source of truth for what is current.
